Meet the Owners ...

Meet our Instructors ...

Celeste Cappella (Miss Celeste)

Miss Celeste has been dancing since the age of five.  She started at a local studio, Miss Shamberger's, and then continued to study for the next 25 years at Miss Adele's Creative Dance Centre.  At 16, Miss Celeste became an assistant teacher to the owner.

Many choreographers/dancers, from stage to screen, were here instructors and became the inspiration and foundation of her dance education and choreography skills.

Miss Celeste was on scholarship for 5 years at the acclaimed Manhattan studio, Broadway Dance Center.  She studied under prominent instructors Frank Hatchett, Scott Hunt, and Germaine Salsberg.  She participated in many of the dance workshop productions which contributed to her dance education and preparation on the opening of Spotlight Dance Studio, Inc. with Miss Anne Marie.

Her approach to passing on the education of dance is the understanding that just as there are different styles in this craft, so are there students.  Taking the time to find the "rhythm" for each, is a wonderful journey that will prepare them for the "Spotlight".

Anne Marie Frommeyer (Miss Anne Marie)

Miss Anne Marie started her dance education at the age of three at her local dance studio and has never looked back. She spent her first years developing her technique and fostering her love of dance. Miss Anne Marie was selected to attend and participate in many dance conventions and competed at National Dance Competitions such as Dance Educators of America, Dance Olympus and Star Power. Her instructors quickly recognized her natural leadership abilities and she began student teaching at a young age. She transitioned into a full time instructor and taught at Adele's Creative Dance Center and The Golden School of Dance for over 10 years. Miss Anne Marie has performed for organizations such as Dancers Against Drugs and the Klar Leukemia Foundation. Anne Marie attended Adelphi University and graduated in 1991 with a B.F.A. in Dance. She has attended master classes under the direction of David Howard, Edward Villella, Frank Hatchett and Mia Michaels, to name a few. To further her dance education she attended classes at Broadway Dance Center and Steps.

In 1994, Miss Anne Marie's dance dreams came true and she opened Spotlight Dance Studio with her childhood friend Celeste LoDico. Miss Anne Marie is a mother of three beautiful children and completely understands that children learn differently. She especially enjoys and takes great pride in creating an environment that brings out the best in each of her students. She takes great pleasure in their many accomplishments. Her "go for it" attitude inspires her students to successfully audition for school plays and shows, school dance teams, school kicklines, cheerleading, teaching positions in summer camps and after school programs. The success of Spotlight Dance Studio is a culmination of her dedication to the art of dance and the philosophy that every child has a "star" quality.
